CURRENT SITUATION: Large fire activity occurred in Northern California. Good progress was made on the fires in the Northwest. Two Type I crews, a Type I helicopter, a caterer and a shower unit were mobilized for the Maybert fire through NICC. Increased initial attack activity was reported in Minnesota. The Southwest and Great Basin Areas will have partly cloudy skies with scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. High temperatures for the southwestern United States will range from the 60's and 70's in the mountains to the 90's for the southern deserts.
